Me!

So this is me - complete with new haircut and hair that looks like it grew right of head just like that!
If I'm looking a bit smug it's because I just got news that I've landed a dream job in a Primary school. I will be, from September, a Individual Needs Assistant in the most gorgeous little village school ever, working with a little boy who has some communications difficulties. I'm absolutely delighted.

I'd be doing a Happy Dance if it wasn't for the fact that I fell down a hole a half hour ago and sprained my ankle. It's dangerous work - walking a doggie!

Congrats on the job! Sorry about the ankle. And with the short hair and those glasses, you look eerily like someone I used to work with. And quite different from the profile photo.

Thanks Pete - I'm pleased as punch!

So eerily eh? I'm guessing that's not a good thing!

The profile pic was taken in Mountain Springs WA a couple of summers ago at a wedding. I think I look more like the new pic - well I look like them both really. I mean it's me! :0)

You look absolutely adorable!

Congrats on the dream job!

The best cure for a sprained ankle? A fancy drink, a good book and a whistle by your side to summon family members. May you heal quickly.

I love the color of your hair. I always wished I was a red head.

Yay for the job! Sounds awesome!

What a fun cut. I love changing my hair.

And congratulations on the job! That is so exciting. And it the hours are perfect for you and your young one. Teaching is the only job I'll consider once my kids are all in school. Well, the optimist in me says, "Hey, maybe I'll be paid to write by then!" And then the rest of me says, just plan on getting your Masters.

Speaking of said young one, you look nothing like a real man now.

Good on the hair; good on the job; but sorry about that ankle!

BTW, I just made an appt to get my hair whacked off -- by an unknown hairdresser in Saratoga, NY, no less. Maybe it's a summer thing.

That's a great colour! Not unlike mine, tee hee. And mine is equally natural, for the same reasons as you. We Celts must stick together!

You look fah-bulous, dahling.

I've had the same hairstyle (basically) for over 15 years. It scares the heck out of me thinking of changing it!!

Brave woman!

Kick that sprained ankle up and let someone massage your feet, I say.

Janey, you look positively elven. Like a delicate but mischievous wood sprite. Bah, what do small sons know?

Speaking of sons, I am super excited for your job for personal reasons. My son is autistic, and so I know the parents of the kidling with whom you'll be working are going to fall on their knees in thanks to have you!

Hey your hair looks fab. My daughter was born a red head and has gone blonde now. I was shocked with the red hair at first, I thought my Nigerian half would have taken over but I miss it now. And congratulations on the job, I want to get into the teaching world further down the line as well.

Aw, you look so cute!!! And so young too!!! Like about 12!

Huge congrats on the job and so sorry to hear about the ankle - but it's a good excuse to lie around in your jammies reading - I mean, I know how much you need the encouragement to do that! ;-)
